I haven't done one of these posts for a while and thought now was a good
a time as any especially as I am getting ready for the annual
Brocante Antique and Decorative Fair.
This year it is being held in the beautiful surroundings of Nonsuch
Mansion in Cheam, Surrey and it promises to be filled with everything
your vintage and antique heart desires........to read more click

1950s Roldan Dolls in the snow
I love the snow. I love how it makes everywhere look so pretty (as long
as its not slush!) and I love how it reminds me of being a kid again
making snowmen and having snowball fights so when it snowed again this
morning I couldn't wait to get out and take some photos. Only problem
was I've already taken photos of all my new stock but then I remembered I
have a wonderful collection of Roldan Dolls that would look fantastic
photographed against the snowy background...........To read more please click

As you all know I have a passion for French antiques and the unusual. I
often see things that I love but they are normally out of my price range
(champagne lifestyle, ginger beer money springs to mind!) So I tend to
make a mental list of all the things I'd like to add to my collection
and search.............To read more please click

..........a whole load of vintage goodies ready for the upcoming fairs.
Its been a while since I did a post like this but I thought you'd like
to see some of the new bits and pieces I've found on my travels. Its
always hard over Christmas to find new things as everywhere is slowing
down and getting rid of old stock. I need to start looking forward to
spring when all the new fairs start up again and buy accordingly.........To read more please click

My top finds ever!
I love all my finds although having said that, I would say that I'm
actually quite fickle when it comes to my finds (luckily for Mark I'm
not fickle in my relationships). I will really, really, really love
something and it will be my best find ever and nothing could ever
replace it until............the next thing that I really, really, really
love comes along........... To read more please click

Getting ready for the Vintage and Handmade Fair
As I said in my last post, I am going to have a stall at the Vintage
and Handmade Fair at Chipping Sodbury Town Hall this Sat 1st Dec. I
have never ventured to the Cotswolds as a seller so I'm not too sure
what to take with me. I will be taking my usual mixture of french faded
loveliness plus a few new bits that I've found on my travels. I have
noticed that I've had a different buying head on now for some time and
am no longer looking for things just for me. I'm trying to see and hear
what the buyers want too and whilst I still love everything I've
bought, I may not have previously bought it..........To read more please click

I have always been enraptured by old Hollywood glamour and I have the
strangest notion that in a previous life I was a socialite Debutante
called Ariella Dada who had men hanging on to her every word, quaffed
champagne, was invited to all the fashionable parties, wore only the
most fabulous, expensive and sparkly jewels plus had all the leading
designers of the day falling over themselves to dress her and always
looked calm, serene and in control.........To read more please click

Some new finds
I have got my first stall this Thurs at the
Sussex Country Brocante
and I have to admit that I had a teeny tiny meltdown last week when I
thought I didn't have enough stock to take. I am also doing the
Village-Vintage fair in November so I started to really panic especially
as pickings had been a bit thin on the ground recently. I was also
feeling a bit daunted as it is my first fair at Wisborough Green and I
will have a stand alongside many other stallholders who have been doing
this a lot longer than I have. I want to appear professional in front
of my peers and that's why having the right stock is so important to
me. I want to look like I actually know what I'm doing!..........To read more please click
